Parental Transition Coaching
for Working Parents
OVERVIEW & STRUCTURE
A programme of 1:1 confidential coaching sessions is offered to expectant and new moms and dads, delivered by specially equipped executive coaches.
WHO ARE THE PROGRAMMES FOR?
The programme is as relevant to first time parents as to those who are parenting for the 2nd or 3rd time. We also provide support to adoptive parents or those going through surrogacy.

WHAT WOMEN ARE SAYING
____________
“If Melany had not coached me for both my returns to work after maternity leave, I do not think I would have continued on my journey at the firm. She helped me to prioritise what matters on a personal and professional level, to re-think old patterns of thinking and to slowly gear back into work in a way that works for me.”
— Melissa Cogger, Senior Associate, Bowmans
IMPORTANCE OF LINE MANAGERS
______________
Line manager relationship is a critical factor in supporting maternity returners
Our anecdotal research confirms academic findings that the relationship and communication between line manager and employee strongly influence the quality of the employee’s return and her career decisions beyond parental leave.
A vital element of the programme is the provision of consultative support to the women’s line managers. The intention is to help them understand and manage their impact in a positive way, as well as provide best practice advice on how they can facilitate the reintegration of the returning mother when the time comes for her to return to work.
WHAT WOMEN ARE SAYING

“Having been through the programme with my first pregnancy and leave, I found it extremely valuable that the programme can be adapted to assist with the return to work after a second child. It helped me address challenges that arose as well as providing general career guidance and development.”
